FORTUNATO AND MONTRESOR

" The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe tells the chilling revenge of Montresor against Fortunato, who has insulted him. During an Italian carnival, in 1846, Montresor lures Fortunato into his catacombs under the pretext of tasting an Amontillado wine, taking advantage of his drunkenness to chain him up and wall him alive, carrying out his plan. This is a free adaptation of the same text in which eternal return and repetition end up transforming and distorting the plot. A story about revenge, the abuse of power and violence, but also about the possibility of change, reparation and innocence.
